Full Training Program

Welcome and Thank you for your interest in our program. The Pilates Education Lab Teacher Training Program provides comprehensive studies of the Classical Pilates repertoire presented through a focus on movement skills, sound biomechanics, proper alignment, cueing and developing your “eye” as a teacher. We provide a supportive environment for our students to reach their full potential as dynamic instructors.

Our Pilates Teacher Training Program requires completion of the following weekends:

MAT WEEKENDS 1 & 2
Students learn fundamental movement skills as well as the Intro - Super Advanced level Pilates Mat exercises coupled with functional anatomy and kinesiology training as it relates to teaching the exercises. We will discuss modifications and variations including use of the Foam Roller, Thera-band, and Magic Circle.

APPARATUS WEEKENDS 1 & 2
Students learn Intro-Intermediate level exercises on the Reformer, Cadillac/ Wall Unit, Wunda Chair, Barrels and Periphery Apparatus. All students are required to attend all APPARATUS lectures at either Sanchez Street Studios or Internal Fire Pilates, and also practice with a partner throughout the training. This is a prerequisite for the ADVANCED program to allow the students to understand the basic concepts and movements of each exercise and how the mat skills are applied on the equipment.
